The Monthly Meeting is an opportunity for all club members to gather and for prospective members to ‘meet’ the club. Member, Birgit Dickinson! Birgit has been supporting refugees from Iraq and Syria for over 3 years in her local community. She has worked with several families with young children of Kurdish and Yesidi heritage and with "3 youngish Syrian men". Some have moved to new locations, others are still in the area. She considers several of them friends and expresses how they have enriched her life. 

Birgit will share positive stories about her work with these individuals but will also discuss frustrating experiences she's encountered with the German authorities,  as well as prejudices and other problems she's witnessed. It promises to be a very interesting evening!
