New members, joining after January 1, 2010, pay 25€.  As the club’s fiscal year runs from July through June, membership renewals, regardless of when member joined, are due on July 1.  

You don't have to be an American to join!  Women of all ages and nationalities who speak English are welcome to become members of the American International Women's Club of Cologne.

Founded in 1961, the American International Women’s Club of Cologne (AIWCC) is a registered charitable organization with an international membership.  Half of our 200 members are American or German, the rest are from more than 20  countries.  Our membership includes both full-time mothers and working women.  

The AIWCC provides support, cultural and social interaction to its members and their families, as well as  promoting friendships and good will within the local  community.  

As a philanthropic organization, the AIWCC supports various charities locally in Cologne and throughout the world.  

Numbering 200 women, our membership includes Americans who have made their lives in Germany, Americans who are here for a short or extended stays, and English-speaking friends from many countries.  Americans make up about half the voting membership.  Other members come from Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and a number of countries in Europe, Asia, and South America. 

Our Global Network 

The AIWCC is part of a global network - The  Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas.  It is an international network of over 75 independent clubs with a combined membership of more than 15,000 in 38 countries worldwide. (www.FAWCO.org)

Founded in 1931, FAWCO is a non-partisan, not-for- profit corporation.  A non-governmental organization (NGO) accredited by the UN, FAWCO has consultative status to the UN Economic and Social Council and is a member of the Conference of NGOs.  Through the FAWCO Foundation, its philanthropic arm, FAWCO offers scholarships, funds development grants and supports emergency relief.
 
Through FAWCO, the club members are kept abreast of developments in overseas voting for US citizens, social security and citizenship issues, as well as global concerns such as malaria, women’s rights and children’s welfare.
